Gain in horizontal plane: if a horizontal antenna pattern is defined, then Image Removed then

body$g_{trx1\to trx2}^{H}=f_{trx1}^{H-pattern}\left( {{\theta }_{trx1\to trx2}} \right)$
 (Eq. 162)

Gain in vertical plane: if a vertical antenna pattern is defined, then: Image Removed

body$g_{trx1\to trx2}^{V}=f_{trx1}^{V-pattern}\left( {{\phi }_{trx1\to trx2}} \right)$
 (Eq. 163)

When the two antenna patterns (horizontal and vertical) are selected, this means that the horizontal and vertical planes are combined and SEAMCAT calculates the resulting antenna gain as a pseudo 3-D antenna gain based on multiplication in linear domain of the horizontal and vertical gains:

Mathinline
body${{g}_{trx1\to trx2}}=g_{trx1\to trx2}^{V}\times g_{trx1\to trx2}^{H}$
 (Eq. 164)

              (Eq. 165)
