For generic systems, the antenna modelling consists of two entities in SEAMCAT. You have the elements: pointing and pattern definition. The “Antenna Pointing” panel that defines the antenna height, and the pointing in azimuth and in elevation and you have the . The “Antenna Patterns definition” panel as illustrated in Figure 410. These 412 is where the pattern across the full range of angles is defined.
The antenna pointing azimuth and elevation angles have impact only on determine the ultimate antenna gain applied in calculation of the link budget, but not on the mutual physical positioning of pair of the transmitter and receiver pair. The latter is impacted determined by the “Path azimuth angle” parameter (see ANNEX ANNEX 12:).
