Overview of SEAMCAT Terrain functionalities
SEAMCAT Terrain functionalities includes
Built in Terrain data readers for most commonly used DEM data formats (GeoTIFF, bil, hgt)
Implementation of multiple propagation models with terrain functionalities (4 PMP models supported and growing)
Implementation of digital terrain data for path loss calculation in SEAMCAT simulation and interference calculations:
a. Implementation of digital terrain data in SEAMCAT scenario and simulation
b. Implementation in generic and cellular-like systems
c. Calculation of transmission loss using terrain for all three type of links: victim system, interfering system, and interference links
Implementing terrain features in other areas of SEAMCAT:
a. Extending terrain features to SEAMCAT Tools, CommandLine, EPPs, External PMPs
b. View and extract terrain height profiles data, export / import of profiles and results
c. Adding Terrain settings to workspace settings – user exchange settings
d. Consistency checks for existence of terrain data (heuristic approach)
e. Profile GUI display, calculation performance enhancements for terrain calculations and RW
