A simulation is started when you click clicking on the Start button of SEAMCAT toolbar in the simulation control part of the Scenario tab  ( ). The simulation starts and all other commands/buttons are, meanwhile, disabled except the stop button ( ). SEAMCAT automatically performs the consistency check of the scenario parameters before starting the event generation (see Section ‎2.9).

The simulation runs until the number of events has been performed or if you stop the simulation is stopped prematurely by pressing the stop button.
