For generic systems, the antenna modelling consists of two entities in SEAMCAT. You have the “Antenna Pointing” panel that defines the antenna height, the pointing in azimuth and in elevation and you have the “Antenna Patterns definition” panel as illustrated in Figure 410. These antenna pointing azimuth and elevation angles have impact only on the ultimate antenna gain applied in calculation of the link budget, but not on the mutual physical positioning of pair of transmitter and receiver. The latter is impacted by the “Path azimuth angle” parameter (see ‎ANNEX 12:).

For cellular system, the antenna is defined in the mobile station or base station panel as shown in Figure 411.
