Annual account validation (GDPR)

The European Communications Office is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal data that we have in our care.

In order to be compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we would like to verify that the personal data about you that is stored in our systems is correct and that you still wish to have an account with us.

In order to be compliant, the ECO will perform an Account Validation once pr. year between January and June. The process is described below.

All profiles on the CEPT portal will receive an email , with a request to login with their account, and check that the data we have is correct. This is simply done by navigating to your profile page and check the data. Please adjust your data if not all is correct. If you need to change your mail email address, please contact helpdesk@eco.cept.org, this is a manual process as we have to check that the address is updated correctly in all places.

After ca. 14 days, a second email is send to those who still haven't logged into their account sinces the first mail. This is a final warning, that the account will be deleted if we do not detect a recent login date after the 14 days have passed.

When the time has passed, we will proceed to delete the accounts that we had no success in contacting. No notifications will be send out for this. If the profile is deleted by mistake, we have unfortunately no option to restore it, please proceed and create a new profile.
