SEAMCAT is an open source project developed using Java which means it can run on any operating system supported by Java. The SEAMCAT installation is started by clicking on the install link from www.seamcat.org and it is free of charge.
The .jar package is platform independent so that you can run SEAMCAT on either Mac OS, Linux or Microsoft Windows operating systems. You need to check on the website that you have the latest version installed.
It is required that you have the Java runtime environment (JRE) installed on your computer, available to download free of charge from www.java.com. The latest version is recommended.
