How to access and login to the chat system

The chat system can be activated for each CEPT group, and access is granted by membership of the individual CEPT group. You will only see the chat tab, when logged in to the CEPT portal.

No additional software installation or administrative rights are required to access the CEPT chat system from the CEPT portal.

When you are granted access to a CEPT group chat, the "Chat" tab appears in the group menu line, once you are logged in to the CEPT portal.

If this button is not visible, the chat is either not enabled in the group or you are not granted access to the chat. In that case please contact the group Chair or ECO contact for clarification.

The Chat system works in browsers as listed on Browser Compatibility for all tools.

When accessing the chat, you will need to enter your chat username and password.

Your chat username and password are auto generated by the system when you are granted access first time.

You will find your chat username and password in your CEPT profile section.

If you need to set a new password, use the "forgot password" link on the login page of the chat tool. Please note this will render the password listed on the CEPT portal invalid.

You will be entering the chat channel belonging to that specific CEPT group directly when clicking the chat tab.
